I expect to pass through life but once. If therefore, there be kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again. ~William Penn~
The Brethren Mennonite Council for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Interests (BCM) is one of the oldest American Anabaptist organizations serving queer believers and one that has been hugely important to some congregations I’ve been part of. It’s a treat, then, to see God Hates: Westboro Baptist Church, American Nationalism, and the Religious Right get a short review in the organization’s recent newsletter. If there was ever an audience for whom I wanted this book to be useful, this was it.
You can make a donation to support the intersectional work of BCM here.
